Positive: The location is really nice, the view is fantastic and the owners and staff are very nice. They also have a small but nice pool. The breakfast was nothing special but ok.

Negative: We had a room for 3 people, and one slept on a pull-out sofa that was really uncomfortable, and the pillows were very soft, unlike the ones on the bed.

Positive: The property is in a stunning location. Our room overlooked the vineyards and surrounding hill villages, providing an exceptional view that we never tired of. The shared spaces (pool, terrace and restaurant) were pretty and offered the same wonderful views. We enjoyed a wonderful 5 course dinner one evening, though we had no idea what would be served or how much it would cost.

Negative: We loved many things about this property, but unfortunately found a lot at fault. Nobody was present when we arrived at the time we'd specified. It took about 15 minutes to find someone, who was then very short with us and gave us no information other than breakfast serving time. A corporate group of around 14 people were holding a team building event at the property. This really stretched the family's capacity to provide a good service and we felt like an inconvenience rather than paying guests. The group stayed up drinking until 2am on the terrace which was directly next to our bedroom, making for a very disrupted and short night's sleep. I think it is very unfair for the family to take bookings for corporate events at the same time as regular tourist bookings. We expected to be able to talk to the family members about the area, their vineyard, advice on places to go etc but this was minimal. They also offer no indication of how much things cost, so we were ordering wine & dinner blindly and hoping for the best. Furnishings in the rooms are tired, cheap & basic and the wifi is shockingly bad. The family have been a 'Tourist Farm' for 40 years and appear to be rather tired of the whole thing.

Summary: Unbeatable location with exceptional views, but family not as helpful as other reviews suggest.

Positive: It was a very comfortable stay at Hiša Štekar. The stuff was very nice and they prepared a delicious breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable.
